hw 3-4-13

indo-europeans- a group of nomads who are native to a dry grasslands known as the steppes.
Steppes- dry grasslands that lay north of the Cauceses
migrations- when a group of people move from their current homeland to a new location
Hitties- A group of people who spoek the Indo-European language
Anatolia- a large penisula in present-day Turkey, also called Asia minor
Aryans- a group of Indo-European peopel who were light skinned, and were native to somewhere between the Caspian and Aral seas.
Vedas- 4 collections of sacred Aryan text, instructions for preforming rituals
caste-Aryan social heiarchy
Mahabharata-Indian epic depicting the struggles the Aryans faced in the southward migration
