Section 3-1


  •          Indo-Europeans was significant because they were nomadic people and they herded cattle, sheep, and goats. They even trained horses for battle.
  •     Steppes are grass lands that the nomadic people were able to feed their cattle from.
  •      A migration is what the nomads did when the steppes were dried up.
  •     Hittites were a group of nomads during 2000 B.C.
  •      Anatolia was a huge peninsula that is now in modern day Turkey.
  •     Aryans were a type of people whose home that was near Caspian and Aral seas.
  •      Vedas are four prayers, magical spells, and instruction on how to preform rituals.
  •      Brahmins was the three social classes: warriors, and peasants or traders.
  •     Castes were also a social class except there was four classes.
  •     Mahabharata it is a reminder of how the Aryans struggled on their way down to Southern India.
