Tuesdays Homework.
Indo-Europeans were a group of nomads that came from steppes. Steppes are dry grasslands that stretched north between the Back and Caspian seas. This area is called the Caucasus. A migration is a movement of people from one region or area to another. This happens in waves over long periods of time. The Hittites were Indo-European speakers that lived in Anatolia. Anatolia is a big peninsula that was located in now present day Turkey. Anatolia is rich with timber and agriculture. Aryans were another Indo-European people who were around during the Hittites. The Vedas were ancient sacred writings that included prayers, magical spells, and instructions for performing rituals. Brahmins are priests in the Aryans social classes. Castes were what the Portugal's called the social systems of the Aryans. The Mahabharata is one of the great epics of India which reflected the Aryans struggles during their journeys to the south.
