I believe that the book explained it better because it had so much more detail and didn't have such a broad topic. I believe that the book was also better because you could go at your own pace and that you good go back if need be and that it was written down and not the Internet so you would be hard pressed to have trouble. The book is a better chose because it has better descriptions of the dynasties than the video in my opinion.
